FACILITIES ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

Job Summary

Provide facilities engineering services for 600k+ sqft hi-tech corporate headquarters campus in Sunnyvale, CA.  Currently, six buildings are occupied with expansion plans for total of 1.2M+ sqft on existing land.  Site contains office space, data centers, computer labs, manufacturing test and ship, cafeteria, fitness center, executive briefing center, and training space.  There are 1400+ employees on site.

Essential Functions

bulletProvide facilities engineering services for on-site cogeneration system supporting mission critical data center
bulletReview and approve change control requests for maintenance and testing
bulletDevelop and Manage budgets, provides estimates and forecasts, provide monthly metrics and reports
bulletProject Management of Tenant Improvement projects
bulletResponsible for safety and compliance training and documentation
bulletResponsible for energy management systems
bulletCoordinate with Facility Manager, Business Services Manager, Space Planning Manager, Security/Safety Manager within department
bulletPosition reports to Director of Facilities

Requirements

bulletMust have excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills
bulletCAD/CAFM skills a plus

Job Title:  General Manager                        FLSA status: Exempt

Department:  CPMC                                     Reports to: President, Maloney and Bell

Position summary:

Under the oversight of the Maloney and Bell senior management team, the general manager is responsible for managing the operations of the Commercial Property Maintenance & Construction Division.  Oversees bid and project quotes and business expenses to achieve Division profitability.  Conducts new business development and retention by marketing the Division’s property maintenance and construction services to new and current clients.   

Position responsibilities:

bulletReview and approve bid and project quotes for profitable pricing
bulletConduct oversight and review of Division business results month-to-month and year-to-date to maintain profitability
bulletManage the field and office operations through the supervision of the assistant general manager and field and office managers
bulletOversee CPMC’s facility and equipment
bulletCreate new operational procedures and processes to support business needs and maintain profitability
bulletDevelop new business through marketing the Division’s capabilities
bulletRetain existing clients by meeting maintenance and construction goals

Essential skills and experience:

bulletKnowledge of the methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical, mechanical and hardware systems
bulletExperience in all construction trades
bulletAbility to read, interpret and estimate project cost from plans, detailed drawings and specifications
bulletAbility to supervise three or more management level positions
bulletAbility to delegate tasks, assign responsibility and hold employees accountable
bulletSkilled at developing new business through developing relationships, communication and presentation of the Division’s repair, maintenance and construction capabilities
bulletSkilled at retaining existing clients by developing relationships and meeting project maintenance and construction goals
bulletAbility to train employees to exercise customer skills required to work in a retail environment
bulletEight years experience in the construction trades
bulletAbility to travel
bulletMust possess a valid driver’s license

Non-essential skills and experience:

Bachelor’s of Science in Construction Engineering; Contractors license

Reporting to this position:

The assistant general manager and field and office managers report to the general manager.

 Physical demands:  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle tools and controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs and ladders, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, talk and hear. The employee must lift and carry in excess of 50 pounds.  Specific vision required by the job includes color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

bulletWorking environment:  While performing the duties of this job, the employee’s work environment may be exposed to the existing weather conditions including hot, cold, wet and windy weather.  The work environment may include excessive noise and dusts from operating equipment.
